The Church of Universal Fellowship Senior Choir, under the direction of Francis John Vogt, works to present sacred choral repertoire spanning all musical periods and styles. From works by well-known composers such as Palestrina, G.F. Handel, Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms and Bruckner to more contemporary works by composers such as Jacques Berthier, Sir John Tavener, Benjamin Britten, John Rutter, Moses Hogan, to Joshua Shank and everywhere in between.
The CUF choir seeks to provide a welcoming, educational, open and fun contemporary worship environment through many varying avenues of musical expression and frequently works with the CUF handbell choir as well as other local instrumentalists.
Adding to the weekly worship service, the choir performs annually on All Saints Day (November 1), the Christmas Eve Service (December 24) and other special occasions. The choir enjoys being a part of the amazing Orono community and loves sharing their music outside of the church as well.
The senior choir rehearses weekly (September – May) on Wednesday evenings from 6 – 7:00 pm in the CUF sanctuary and also meets at 9am on Sunday mornings.
All are most welcome! Come and Sing with us!!
