Bob Gallant update from Malcolm

Bob Gallant’s family has been praying and hoping against the odds this week for good outcomes in the ICU following a car accident. No great options remain, and Bob will be taken off life support. Please continue praying for Ginny, their family, and friends who face a really sad loss. Those who wish to closely connect with the family are invited to join Nicole (granddaughter’s) private Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/545640839845164/

Update on in person worship

CUF’s Path Ahead
Hybrid In-Person/Zoom Worship – COMING SOON
Deacons and Trustees met on Sep. 12 to determine safety protocols we will employ as a community when using the CUF building. Notwithstanding the fact that CUF participants are all already as vaccinated as can be, Covid-variant transmissions mean we have to be vigilant. Regular worship events starting October 10 will use a hybrid design, meaning people might attend either online or in-person. Some will be on Zoom (as now). And some will be in-person. Those in-person can expect mandatory masking, ventilation, and distancing when in the building. There are some changes to the worship service itself, and distancing requirements mean not more than 25 people in the sanctuary, just a fraction of the congregation. But these safety precautions allow us to go forward. Thankfully with both in-person and Zoom participation, individuals and households can continue to interact in one worshipping community!     If you have questions about attending a worship service in person, please call the church office at 866-3655.In-person Worship
Before and after the 10:00 am service, people may wish to greet each other informally. Socializing outdoors rather than indoors for coffee hour will be encouraged as a way to catch up with friends and community members. We will have color-coded pandemic wrist bands you can wear to identify your level of comfort for physical interaction on that day.
o   Green means “I am happy to talk or shake hands”
o   Yellow means “I am comfortable talking at a distance”
o   Red means “I would like to keep my distance.”
